Bios

Proprietor

Ryan Dudley studied Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona, and is now The Cellar's third owner. Since his take over in 2004, at the age of 27, he has been awarded Restaurant of the Year from the Orange County Concierge Association, and Alumni of the Year from Cal Poly Pomona. He started his professional career managing different properties of Lawry's and was one of the youngest Wine Managers of The Five Crowns in Corona del Mar. He balances bringing a fresh approach to fine dining while maintaining a European aura of elegance. He is a fixture at The Cellar and never passes up a good bottle of wine and stimulating conversation with his customers. He is truly the captain behind the ship and the driving force behind the success of The Cellar. He has a "hands on" approach to his ownership of The Cellar and his enthusiasm is contagious and inspires others to uncover their untapped potential.

 

Fine Dining Restaurant Manager

Sara St. Pierre graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts and Sciences and Restaurant Management in 1998 from Scottsdale Culinary Institute, and since then has oscillated throughout all areas of the restaurant industry before making her home at The Cellar in 2003. She brings a true love and understanding of food as well as a dedication to elegant, yet sophisticated fine dining service. She is stimulated by the business side of the industry and is constantly thriving to seek out new ways to keep the restaurant current and relevant. She is also passionate about The Cellar's employees and customers and is thrilled in each and every little success. She constantly evaluates the restaurant industry and its current flux and makes an inquiry into people's present interests and how best to appeal to them. She believes in the five senses of service and experience, and in managing the values of The Cellar's staff and catering to it's customers with a polished and professional attitude.

 

Sommelier

Cameron Tyler is one of Southern California's youngest Certified Sommeliers and has graced The Cellar with an expert pallet and extensive knowledge of wines and the wine making process. His interest in wines was stimulated by a sneaky sip of his dad's bottle of haut-brion at the age of 15. Since then he has thrived to learn as much as he can about wines and continues to keep The Cellar at the top of its tier with its wine list. He is disciplined about everything he does and it shows in his position at The Cellar. You can even catch him practicing sabering champagne bottle after bottle, just to get it right. He is constantly inspired by a challenge.
